Food was OK. It's been a long time since we ate there and we really missed Mercardo Juarez!

Amazing service all the waiters are very nice but there was a dead roach in my food so that's not too great

I could live here, it was so cozy. Plus the indoor water fountain added so much ambience. It felt like a Mexican village square.

Fun casual place for Mexican food. More quiet and private seating than you generally find in places closer to the freeway. Good place to take a cheap date or just unwind w/o being hustled to hurry up and go. I've come here since this place was Lupita's about a million years ago. Lupita's hac better flautas but otherwise El Chico is a pretty good middle of the week dinner.

Great food. Great service. Only suggestion is more lighting. My table was so dark I couldn't see my food. Candles would be nice on darker tables.

The food is terrible, the staff is terrible, the environment is terrible. I have had a drink and salsa spilled on me, in the SAME TRIP here. I have had to wait 2 hours for a quesadilla.

This location has the best beef enchiladas, they reminded me of the good old fashion recipes I was used to! Service was friendly and attentive but not hovering. The servers really worked together as a team and were pleasant to converse with.

Went to dinner with a friend. Service was great. Our server was very attentive. I had the ranchera enchilada. The margarita that I had tasted good as well. I definitely will be returning.

We got the lunch special of chicken enchiladas and the combo fajitas. They were both very delicious and the service was GREAT.

We walked in and the front entrance smelled like cigarette smoke, there was no sign of any people... waited almost 5 minutes for someone to finally come out from the back and seat us. Food was mediocre until I tasted the rice... it tasted like mildew on a fork. The rice was like they reheated it for a week straight and it got that stale old freezer burn taste. My 3 year olds favorite food is refried beans and she refused to eat more than 2 bites... that should have been my red flag. The sopapillas and happy hour margaritas were the only thing half decent. I heard another woman sitting next to us complain that her unsweet tea tasted like it had been sitting there for 2 days. Make the food & drink fresh. It's not that hard.

Something has changed at this location it has become the worst of any restaurant that I have dealt with on to-go orders. 3 out of my last 4 orders have been incomplete. From leaving out the appetizer to now leaving out the drink. They will not get another opportunity to short my order.

This place definitely has good food we came here with the Fort Worth Titans to eat a meal after our basketball tournament their food here is very delicious it reasonable for what you get

Limited menu. Service was slow. The restaurant had few people inside due to the pandemic, so unsure why that was.. mayb÷ staffing shortage

Every time I come here I am never disappointed. The staff is always eager to greet you with a smile when you walk through the door. I decided to sit at the bar this visit. I had 4 brisket tacos and 2 orange Fantas. (FANTAstic combo btw) The tacos were amazing. Fresh and hot. My server Katie was quick to replenish my Fanta as I was quite parched and continued to check on me periodically in the hectic and busy bar area. Dylan, (who I believe to be the ass. manager) also checked on me numerous times and was very engaging in conversation. Not just with me but I observed him make his rounds through the restaurant ensuring everyone here was having nice dinner. I guess it’s true what they say “you can’t spell El Chico’s, without Dylan” 10/10 would recommend.

I normally do not leave reviews. Sitting at the bar last night I happened to notice that almost every surface behind the bar was dirty. The margarita machine, the counters, the back of the taps, everything. The bartender was non-existent. I'm not sure if she was also waiting tables but we only saw her a few times and other people ran her food. Maybe there should be new management.

Absolutely amazing service by Katie. Drink orders were on time and correct and the food was amazing. She checked on us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. The assistant manager Dylan even came to check and make sure the food was up to El Chico’s standards. Love the family friendly environment and authentic Mexican food. Will always be a customer as long as Dylan the assistant manager is here

Came into this location Friday night, and got the best service I’ve ever had at this location. Katie was our server & she was excellent. Very fast, great personality, great hard worker. She was taking about 4 other tables all at once, I will definitely bring myself & my friends & family back to see her. Keep up the great work Katie.

This place is filthy. Parking lots a mess & electrical tape on front door. Went in anyway. Seated us took our order which was 2 specials of the day. 30 minutes later still no food! Tacos plate! Manager tried to say they were slammed, NOT! Had to leave without lunch to get back to work! Will never go there again!

Excellent service. The customer service was amazing. I was seated quickly and food brought out just as fast. My drink was always being refilled. The management was amazing. Erin and Dylan are great managers, absolutely amazing!!!

Great service all around good experience

An old, established restaurant that serves Tex-Mex food the way it should be. I have been going to El Chico's since they built a restaurant in Seminary South Mall in Fort Worth in the sixties, I believe. I could order a Juarez plate tonight and fully expect it to be the same meal that I got back in the 60s. It is just good honest food for a good honest price. The place was very clean and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Very enjoyable evening.

Service was friendly food was great and restaurant was very clean, with plenty of space between customers. I enjoyed my dinner.

Came in this afternoon & sat at a table in the bar, our servers name was Katy, It was a table of 5, and we were all incredibly impressed she remembered our whole order, repeated it back to us perfectly & the food came out just the way we ordered it. Super quick service, She made great top self margaritas as well. Super friendly waitress, she was quick with our drinks, quick with service. Myself & the group I was with was very satisfied with her service & will definitely come back to see her. She went above & beyond to make sure we had everything, it’s not always about getting The food & drinks for customers, it meant a lot she made sure we had our condiments & dressings we asked for, we really appreciate the effort she put in. Thanks for the great food, I look forward to coming back to this location & receiving great service once again.

The inside was very authentic looking and the food was good. We are from Tulsa and this place looked much nicer than what we have. The did was good also so no complaints.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at this place that I had nearly forgotten! Service was fast and friendly, food was tasty, and I look forward to visiting again soon!

I had a great experience here! Drinks were good, staff was friendly and the food came out quick! The manager made a point to go to each table making sure everything was alright. I really enjoy seeing such great leadership from Managers. I would recommend the place to anyone.

Food is prepared well. The atmosphere is cozy with a Tex Mex villa appearance.
